This impacted soil had been transported to 700 White Oak Drive (Cell D or Site) Ft. Wayne, for remediation in a landfarm cell, however, additional remediation of the impacted soil was required because the bioremediation at Cell D was ineffective. Further remediation was funded by the Petroleum Remediation Grant Initiative (PRGI) to successfully treat the contaminated soil from the Former Bowser Pump Plant.

The demolition of the building occurred recently and has allowed additional cleanup to take place. Contaminated soil was over excavated and disposed of properly. Results of soil laboratory analyses indicate that total petroleum hydrocarbons (TPII) are now below the detention limit 20 parts per million.
